Fresh off his co-starring role in the box office smash The Martian, Donald Glover is returning to television.

Childish Gambino’s better half is the creator, star and executive producer of an upcoming Hip-Hop comedy series titled Atlanta that has just been ordered to its 10-episode start on FX, Variety reports. The half-hour series chronicles two cousins attempting to make it big in the ATL rap scene. Despite his Lower East Side rap roots, Glover is actually a product of Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Atlanta draws on Donald’s considerable talents as a musician, actor and writer to give us something unique,” Nick Grad, president of original programming for FX and FX Prods, said in a statement. “The story is made all the more powerful by the great cast and the contributions of Donald’s fellow executive producer Paul Simms and director Hiro Murai. We can’t wait to for the debut of Atlanta next year.”

Keith Stanfield a.k.a. Snoop Dogg from Straight Outta Compton, Brian Tyree Henry and newcomer Zazie Beetz will co-star in the series. Paul Simms for FX Prods. and Dianne McGunigle of MGMT Entertainment will also executive produce alongside Glover.
