Young Thug Twitter beef aside, Metro Boomin has had a pretty fantastic year. The 22-year-old producer’s close-knit relationship with Future has aligned his work with two of the more viral albums of this year; Future’s solo Dirty Sprite 2 and his tag-team project with Drake, What a Time to Be Alive.

SportsCenter has known to drop Hip-Hop references in their broadcasts (popularized by the late, great Stuart Scott) and John Buccigross made sure to mention Metro Boomin as he bigged up the lights out play of Stephen Curry this year.

“What Metro Boomin is to Drake and Future, Steph Curry is to the NBA,” the anchor exclaimed. “What a time to be alive!”

And then the crowd went wild.

Also notice one fan’s keen question.
