A judge ordered criminal charges against LL Cool’s J’s son “dismissed and sealed” yesterday (Dec. 10), the New York Post reports. Trespassing and harassment charges against 26-year-old Najee Smith were thrown out at the prosecutor’s request because there wasn’t enough evidence to prove the case “beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Smith, who was in court at the time, didn’t comment, though his lawyer certainly did. “It’s amazing that a person has to go through all this nonsense when his case is dismissed,” said Marvin Kornberg.

Smith was arrested on Sept. 29, after he got into a fight with a group of men at Catch Roof in the NYC’s Meatpacking District. He was there celebrating his birthday and throwing back some drinks. Smith apparently got rowdier and started fighting the club bouncers when told to leave.

No word on how his father reacted to the dropped charges, but he’s probably happy with the end result.
