Another day, another Azealia Banks story that doesn’t actually deal with her music, sort of. A couple of tweets that the rapper/singer dropped today (Dec. 23) seemed to be aimed at Rihanna—at least according to the Twitterverse.
“These girls seek me out, ask for my help then get intimidated when they find out how easy it is for me to re-create and re-vamp their sound,” tweeted Banks. “Like, I would really rather not be approached to collab, especially if everyone is going to chicken out. Lol.”
The message could have been for anybody that’s collaborated with Azealia Banks, but the speculation is it’s Rihanna since they allegedly recently worked together.
How this came to be known was due to Azealia Banks getting arrested for basically acting a fool at a Meatpacking District nightclub in NYC, though. Banks allegedly bit a security guard’s breast before being hauled off to jail and eventually released.
Mind you, there hasn’t been confirmation that Banks indeed linked up with Rihanna. We gotta hear both sides.
In news pertinent to her music, Banks says she has begun working on a new album for 2016 called Business & Pleasure.
