Yasiin Bey can count on Kanye West as a real friend, and vice versa. Late last night (Jan. 19) via Twitter, Yeezy shared a message from the rapper formerly known as Mos Def commenting on his recent arrest in South Africa for allegedly trying to travel with a fraudulent passport

The Brooklyn native first relays via a poem that he is okay, along with a “No More Parties In S.A.” refrain (a nod to West’s recently dropped “No More Parties In L.A.”).

Bey then says he is currently in Capetown but claims he’s being prevented from leaving as well as having false claims made against him. He insists the world passport is not a fictitious document, and has been accepted in South Africa on numerous occasions; and he has the entry stamps to prove it.

Bey also added that he will be releasing his final album this year, “and that’s that.”

“I ain’t no threat or hazard to nobody. I really just mind my business,” added Bey.

Despite the drama, he says he has no ill to South African or African people and believes the harassment may be politically motivated.
