To commemorate the 19th anniversary of the Notorious B.I.G.’s death earlier this week, Diddy shared never-before-seen video of the late MC. The footage was posted to Diddy’s Instagram account Thursday (March 10) giving us a rare peak into B.I.G.’s recording sessions.

In one  of two videos Biggie chops it up in the studio,  and in another he records “Hypnotize,” the Grammy-nominated lead single from the Life After Death. The track was released a week before his death, but would become a posthumous No. 1 hit for Biggie.

Life After Death, Biggie’s sophomore followup to Ready to Die, symbolized the growth not only in his career but his perspective. The Brooklynite was on his way to the top when his life was tragically cut short on March 9, 1997.

Though one of Hip-Hop’s most prolific and celebrated MCs didn’t make to age of 25, Diddy graciously showed us a side of his friend that we haven’t seen before.

Hit the flip for more.
