The Los Angeles Lakers are investigating sexual harassment claims brought against Nick Young, and Jordan Clarkson. An advocate working to stop athletes from committing sexual harassment, abuse and domestic violence, accused the two players of an alleged inappropriate incident that occurred Sunday (March 20).

Alexis Jones, says she was driving with her mother in Hollywood when a group of men pulled up at an intersection and made “vulgar sexual gestures” towards her mother.

“She was super rattled. That’s the truth. It scared her,” Jones told ESPN. “We were in a small car, and they were in a big Jeep, and it was a bunch of big dudes. They’re leaning out of the car and making vulgar, sexual gestures. My mom was really shocked. That immediately turned into sobbing.”

She later posted a photo of the players on Instagram, and commenters identified them as Young and Clarkson. The account has since been deleted.

Jones added that a Lakers spokesperson called and apologized on behalf of the team the following day, and invited the USC graduate and co-founder of the non-profit I AM THAT Girl, to speak with the players about sexual harassment and abuse. “I’ve been inspired by how the Lakers have responded,” said Jones

Young denied the harassment claim writing in a now deleted tweet, “Aye if you want some attention take a pic of me and say anything next to it and post…The world we live in.”
