The JetBlue flight attended who literally ran away from a cocaine shipment at LAX, has been arrested on the East Coast. Marsha Reynolds, of Queens, turned herself in  to DEA agents at JFK airport Wednesday (March 23).

Reynolds, 31, has been charged with cocaine possession with intent to distribute. She made her first court appearance Thursday and was granted release on $500,000 bond, though she has been deemed a flight risk. A judge put a hold on the bond order, pending appeal from prosecutors in her case in California where she faces trial.

Reynolds was picked for random security search at LAX last week when she bolted from the checkpoint area, leaving the drugs (and her Gucci shoes) behind. TSA agents found 69 pounds of coke in her suitcase, worth an estimated $3 million.

After she ran off, Reynolds was able to board a flight to New York with her work identification. Federal authorities claim she had been attempting to flee to Jamaica up until the day of her arrest. Reynolds, a U.S. citizen, was born in Jamaica.

Prosecutors are reportedly looking for a male co-conspirator in the case.

The former college sprinter and beauty queen, was described as a “good girl” who could’ve gotten tricked into smuggling drugs, a family spokesperson said. “She may not have been fully aware of what was in the bag.”

According to one of her  family members, “more to the story is going to come out.”

JetBlue has suspended Reynolds, who is also a nursing student. She has been employed with the airline for six years.
