A group of women whose children died at the hands of police and gun violence were invited to the Democratic National Convention to advocate for gun and police reform. Of course some of America cried foul.

While there is no word to define parents who’ve had children who died, a group of racists and generally heartless individuals came up with plenty of words for a group of women who lost their children to police shootings [and chokeholds] and gun violence in recent years.

The group referred to as “Mothers Of the Movement” included the mothers of Sandra Bland, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Jordan Davis. All of whom threw their support behind Hilary Clinton to become the next President of the United States.

The gesture has come with criticism. Noticeably absent was the mother of Tamir Rice who has stated that she doesn’t feel that neither Clinton or Donald Trump have said or done anything to actually fix the problem. But the harshest criticism of the gesture has come from the #AllLivesMatter crowd.

As the women appeared on television each giving their testimonies, the floodgates opened on Twitter allowing ‘Muricans to spew. Among them was former Obama staffer and current CNN commentator David Axelrod.
