Barack Obama just poured some more ether on the GOP nominee. When asked to comment on Donald Trump’s attacks on the Khan family, whose son was killed via a suicide bombing in Iraq, the POTUS answered calmly and eloquently, and let the chopper spray verbally.
“The Republican nominee is unfit to serve as president,” said Obama at a White House news conference today (Aug. 2). “I said so last week, and he keeps on proving it.”
He added, “The notion that he would attack a Gold Star family that made such extraordinary sacrifices on behalf of our country, the fact that he doesn’t appear to have basic knowledge around critical issues in Europe, the Middle East, in Asia, means that he’s woefully unprepared to do this job.”
Obama continued by asking prominent GOP members, despite constant rebukes of Trump’s rhetoric, Why are you still endorsing Trump?
Seriously, why?
