Will Smith is making the rounds in the press as he promotes the pending blockbuster hit movie Suicide Squad. But he’s also addressing rumors about a Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air reboot coming to television.

With classic sitcoms like Full House returning via Netflix and Ice Cube bringing back Hollywood Squares with a a Hip-Hop twist, it seems like nostalgia is the new wave.

Rumors of Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith using their Hollywood muscle to bring back a new version of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for the younger generation have been swirling for a while. With this year marking the 20th anniversary of the classic sitcom’s final season, it seems like the timing would be perfect for a return.

Smith knows this, so when he was asked about the reboot and any details surrounding it by E! News, this is what we learned:

Do not—we repeat, do not—look for a revival of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air anytime soon.

“I don’t think ever, like pretty close to when hell freezes over,” Smith said about possibly rebooting his classic sitcom while promoting Suicide Squad with co-star Margot Robbie. “Like we’re going to leave that one alone.”

Rumors circulated a year ago that a reboot was in the works with Smith on board as a producer. However, some reports then indicated that the Smith project was an original sitcom possibly inspired by the Fresh Prince’s fish-out-of-water storyline.

So, it sounds like the release date is Neverary 32nd. Do remember though, Smith did confirm a Bad Boys 3 movie with Martin Lawrence recently. So it looks like we will get to go down memory lane just a little bit.
