There wasn’t a dry eye in the building as Allen Iverson gave an emotional speech at his Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement.

Iverson was welcomed to the hall by his Georgetown University basketball coach John Thompson, his former Philadelphia 76ers coach Larry Brown and 76ers legend Julius “Dr. J” Erving.

He started his speech thanking the three of them, and then thank each of his family members for being his “crutch” throughout his career. He also told a hilarious story of the first time he played against Michael Jordan and how he was amazed by his aura and how “he had the Jordans on.”

Also, in perhaps the most Hip-Hop moment to ever happen at the basketball Hall of Fame, Iverson thanked Biggie, Tupac, Redman, Jadakiss and Michael Jackson for being his theme music throughout his career.

Iverson was the star on a night where both Shaquille O’Neal and Yao Ming were also inducted into the hall. Watch the entire speech after the jump.
