Recently appointed Black Ohio Donald Trump campaign chairwoman and radio show host Tracey Winbush actually has a record of slamming the GOP presidential candidate. Now, Winbush is trying to erase the evidence of her vitriol towards the business mogul but the Internet isn’t letting her be great at the moment.
As reported by Raw Story, Winbush slid into her role as Trump’s new Ohio campaign chair after former white chairwoman Kathy Miller unleashed a racist tirade blaming President Barack Obama for everything short of the Apocalypse. In usual Trump fashion, the campaign named Winbush into the new role but goofed by not seeming to release that she actually doesn’t even like the candidate.
Raw Story added in a new update that Winbush once called Trump “deplorable” and criticized his policies on all levels. The laughably bad selection of Winbush in the chair role signifies the entire scope of Trump’s campaign. It appears the move wasn’t well thought out, and now Winbush is scrambling to scrub her Twitter timeline of the evidence.
That’s pretty embarrassing. It’s not a good look to voters if your chairperson is on record cosigning the failures of the campaign.
And then there’s this doozy:
Winbush actually had the gall to announce her “first tweet” as chairwoman of the campaign to which she caught a ton of backlash.
We’d love to hear the real explanation for this. That check from Trump must have been something serious.
