Shaquille O’Neal dusted off his microphone and went for dolo again. Here’s how it sounds.

Not bad.

While most new jacks only remember Shaq for bars like “Kobe, tell me how my *ss taste,” there was a time where he was the best rapping basketball player out. His debut album Shaq Diesel went platinum and had production from Erick Sermon, Ali Shaheed Muhammad with features from Phife Dawg and Fu-Schnickens. His second album Shaq-Fu: The Return featured the Warren G-produced “Biological Didn’t Bother” and featured songs with Redman, Keith Murray, Method Man and RZA. It went Gold.

Then finally he’s the only rapping basketball player that can say he made a classic song with The Notorious B.I.G., “Can’t Stop The Reign.” And for what it’s worth, he helped Peter Gunz get his start. Thank him for that.
