Chance The Rapper dropped his Coloring Book project exclusively on Apple Music, has an endorsement deal with Kit Kat and is one of today’s most popular and critically acclaimed MCs. Now, the Chicago rapper is finally getting around to working on his actual debut album.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1Xtra, Chance detailed how he plans to make his LP stand apart from his mixtapes.

“My mixtapes have been confused for albums for a long time. So it has to be something different,” he told DJ Semtex. “It might not be physical. It might not be a disc or something, but an album that comes with its own live show. That’s important.”

Also, Chance speaks at length about Kanye West (he recalls hearing “Through The Wire” for the first time) inspiring him to pursue rapping seriously.
