The legendary sports reporter Craig Sager has died after a long and fearless battle with leukemia. He was 65.

Turner President David Levy confirmed Sager’s passing today (Dec. 15).

“Craig Sager was a beloved member of the Turner family for more than three decades and he has been a true inspiration to us all,” wrote  Levy in a press statement. “There will never be another Craig Sager. His incredible talent, tireless work ethic and commitment to his craft took him all over the world covering sports.”

Sager was known for his flavorful wardrobe and colorfully fly suits that would make any pimp rethink his game.

But more than anything, Sager had the respect of all the players he covered and the fans that watched him flawlessly hold down the sideline reporting.

Sager was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014 and was forced to take time off from work, but managed to return in 2015 for the NBA season. However, his ill returned, forcing him to step away.

Rest in powerful peace Craig Sager.
