Atlanta may have been getting a lot of shine as of late, but the cast of Love & Hip Hop New York is ready to reclaim its popularity spot in the Twittersphere and beyond . The cast of LHHNYC partied it up with show producer Mona Scott-Young and her Monami Entertainment company, during her annual holiday party at the Newark Museum in New Jersey, Saturday (Dec. 15).

More than 200 guests attended the event, which included cast members, Consequence, Olivia, Yandy Smith, Joe Budden, and more. Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, and DJ Khaled were also in attendance.

This year’s celebration was a about “partying with a purpose” as Scott-Young partnered with  GrassROOTS Community Foundation, a non-profit   co-founded by The Roots leader Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter. Guests made donations to the organization while at the party.  “No donation was too small…as long as it came from a big heart,” Scott-Young said.  “ [Co-founder] Janice [ Johnson Dias] and the wonderful volunteers at the GrassROOTS Community Foundation have dedicated themselves to developing community-based programs that offer educational and wellness programs to impoverished young women and girls and on Saturday, we were able to help them get closer to their goals!”

Ciroc and Bartenura Moscato provided the liquor for the night, while CocoaFab.com, and Sister 2 Sister magazine were helped to sponsor the party.
