Lil Wayne is going back home for the Super Bowl. The avid sports fan will be performing at GQ magazine’s Lacoste and Mercedes-Benz sponsored Super Bowl XLVII party in New Orleans.

Although more details are forthcoming, we do know Tunechi will be the headliner at the annual party that goes down on February 2, 2013 at Elm’s Mansion on St. Charles Avenue in the N.O.’s historic Garden District.

“As a lifelong sports fan and a proud New Orleans native, I am thrilled to partner with GQ, a publication that has long supported me, for this year’s party,” said Weezy via press release. The YMCMB rappers graced the cover of the magazine’s November 2011 “Gods Of Rock” issue along with Eminem and Bob Dylan. GQ keeps a Hip-Hop act rocking their shindigs with  Cee Lo Green and LL Cool performing at the 2011 and 2012 Super Bowl parties, respectively. Recently, the mag named Rick Ross its “Bawse Of The Year.”

It should be a busy 2013 for Weezy. His new album, I Am Not A Human Being 2 is allegedly dropping in February and for the entire month of March he will be performing overseas for his first ever European stadium tour. Unconfirmed reports says the “A Milli” rapper was involved in a backstage brawl after last weekend’s Cali Christmas concert in Los Angeles.
