Have you heard? The Air Jordan 3 in the White/Cement Grey colorway is getting a special retro treatment early next year that will again feature “Nike Air” branding on the heel in lieu of the “Jumpman” found in recent releases. Here are more detailed photos of this highly anticipated sneaker.

Our sources at Jordan Brand confirmed that this release is legit and to expect more info about them closer to 2013’s NBA All-Star Game. 2011 saw the release of three of the four original Air Jordan 3 colorways (White/Red/Cement Grey, Black/Red/Cement Grey and True Blue). Which reminds us, won’t be mad if the “Fire Red” colorway returns to make the cipher complete. Let’s make that happen Jordan Brand.

As for this latest version that will be the closest to the OG yet, it is dubbed the Air Jordan III ’88 Retro, marking the year it was released. Come 2013, that makes 25 years since Michael Jordan rocked them at the NBA All-Star game and while winning the ’88 NBA Dunk Contest. However, the shoe seen here still has “Jordan” on the sole design instead of “Nike” as on the original.

Check out photos of the Air Jordan III ’88 Retro. Those aren’t “’88 Retro” Black Cement Greys in the photos, but here’s for wishful thinking.
