Scrilla took to Twitter earlier this morning to announce that he is no longer a part of the CTE fold. “I want to take the time to say its been a learning experience working with CTE. No hard feelings but its time for me to do me,” said the Atlanta rapper. In the same breath, Scrilla released a new track featuring Young Jeezy and Richie Cap 1, titled “High and Fly,” which reaffirms that he may have left on good terms.

This hopefully amicable split between Scrilla and Corporate Thuggin’ comes as no surprise, considering Young Jeezy’s attempt at a “fresh start for the CTE brand.” Just weeks ago, Freddie Gibbs announced that he too was no longer affiliated with CTE.

“I’m not one of them guys man that sit back and be bitter,” said Gibbs. “This don’t define me. This is a move that I gotta make in my career. Players get traded from teams all the time. They go to different teams and win championships. It is what it is, bro.”

Leading up to recently being appointed the Senior VP of A&R at Atlantic Records, Young Jeezy has been more transparent as of late. “This is why I chose to wipe the slate clean and create an outlet to support and nurture new artists to the best of my ability,” said Jeezy. His latest effort came via a new mixtape, titled It’s Tha World (Es El Mundo), which can be downloaded here. The project should hold fans over until the Snowman drops his proper fifth album next year.
