Raekwon wetted the palates of his fans by dropping a handful of cuts before 2012 came to a close, most set to appear on his forthcoming Lost Jewlry EP. On New Year’s Day, the Chef took to Twitter to announce the title of his forthcoming, proper sixth album.

The Wu-Tang rapper’s new album will be titled F.I.L.A.; short for for Fly International Luxurious Art. “My next Lp comin out in the 2nd quarter and is titled F.I.L.A acronym for “FLY.INTERNATIONAL. LUXURIOUS ART,” he tweeted.

As for the Lost Jewlry EP, it will be released on January 8th. “Need y’all ears in7 more days!!! Get new speakers ASAP #lostjewlry,” he added later. From the albums artwork, the “jewlry” spelling seems to be on purpose. Also, the tarantula piece he famously rocked on the cover of XXL is still in existence. (Yes, you didn’t always have to be a “mainstream” rapper to get on the cover of a rap mag)

The records the Shaolin MC has dropped have been soul friendly numbers featuring Gladys Knight & The Pips and the Jackson 5 samples, among others.

While his new album is due in the Spring, Raekwon has previously announced plans to drop Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Part III sometime before 2014.
