Even though Ab-Soul swears he’s “not eating,” he is looking to change that in 2013 by getting off on the right foot with a new project.

The TDE artist will be releasing a collaborative effort with underground darling, JMSN, called Unit 6. The Detroit based singer/songwriter and instrumentalist confirmed the news on his Facebook account shortly after Complex named the project one of its most anticipated projects in the coming year.

JMSN reached critical acclaim last  year when he released his project called Priscilla. The moody yet enthralling project gained rave reviews from many outlets, including this one, and landed the underground artist on many credited and non-credited placements on Kendrick Lamar’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city.

Ab-Soul will be following suit with this project, as this will be his newest release since he dropped controlSYSTEM in 2012. The California product and Black Hippy member went on to confirm the news of the collaborative effort through his own Twitter account as well by retweeting JMSN’s quote stating that they were “Putting the final mixing touches on JMSN X Ab-Soul “Unit 6,” in late December.

Although there is no confirmed date for the project, we will keep you posted on any updates.
