Any Michael Jordan fan worth his Js knows that the GOAT hooper may have been raised in Wilmington, NC, but he was born in Brooklyn. Now the Jordan Brand Classic, an annual all-star game for the best high-school basketball players in the nation, is coming to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

The 12th annual Jordan Brand Classic will be held at the Barclays Center on April 13, 2013. The last pair of Jordan Brand sponsored all-star games have been held in Charlotte, NC, while the six immediately prior to those were held at Madison Square Garden.

“After spending two great years at Charlotte’s Time Warner Cable Arena, we decided to bring the Jordan Brand Classic to Brooklyn at Barclays Center,” said Jordan Brand president Larry Miller in a press statement. “We are extremely excited to host this incredible talent in a borough famous for high school basketball.”

Some Jordan Brand Classic alumni in the league right now include Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin; who all happen to be JB sponsored athletes. Jordan Brand recently unveiled the Air Jordan XX8. Considering how basketball crazy BK is, seats to the games will be a hot commodity. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
