Nas has already began working on his follow-up album to the extremely well-received, Life Is Good.
The album solidified his status, at least to CNN, that he is the greatest lyricist to ever live. Nasir was recently a guest on Hot 97’s Angie Martinez Show. He spoke on the accolade given to him with the “Voice Of New York.”
“I don’t know if I’ve done my best. I think what’s next to come is crazy because the zone I’m in now is so right,” said Nas. “I’m just happy to be in this place to make music. I don’t know what just got into me but I love it. And, I’m a take advantage of the zone I’m in when I’m recording the next record. I feel like Ali.”
Nas also spoke about reconciling with his ex-wife and subject of his hit song “Bye Baby,” Kelis. “We’re back together as friends,” he clarified. “We were not friends. We were not the best friends for a long time. It was crazy. We’re friends now. That’s what it is. We’re not together. We’re friends though.”
