An elderly man in Nebraska realized that he was hungry for a pizza, after driving his vehicle through a local pizza shop. Rolling in a white Honda fit, the man crashed through the front of Valentino’s restaurant in Lincoln, Wednesday (Jan. 9) just after 11:30 a.m.

After pretty much destroying the front of the establishment he figured he might as well place an order—since he was already there and all. “All of a sudden we hear this huge crash, and it almost sounded like plastic just dropping everywhere,” said eyewitness, Don Brouse, who was eating lunch at the time of the accident. “We didn’t know what it was. We went outside and we just saw this car trying to pick up pizza I guess.”

According to an employee, the man placed an order while they waited for the fire department to show up. “He wasn’t too upset about it but it sure was a surprise to us,” Brouse continued. “He seemed very calm and collected. I was amazed. I would be freaking out.”

The man was taken to a hospital as a precaution, and the restaurant has already replaced the broken door. According to authorities, he crashed into the business because his foot got stuck on the accelerator.
