Pharrell Williams is taking his music skills to The Voice. The producer will be joining new coach Usher, E! News reports.

Williams has signed on to be an adviser to help the R&B star’s team of performers during the battle rounds.

Having collaborated with the Virginia native in the past, Usher noted Williams’ talent as the motivation for having him on board. “A master of his craft, an artist, an innovator. Who better to have on my team than Pharrell?” Usher said in a statement. “His ability to nurture and develop talent is invaluable and will truly benefit each and every one on my team.”

Usher was announced as one of two new judges, the second of which is pop star, Shakira. He was added to the roster to replace Cee Lo Green whose career has taken off as of late. While away from The Voice, the Goodie Mobb singer signed on for a residency in Las Vegas, and has television projects in the works, including a sitcom loosely based on his life.  The other replaced judge, Christina Aquilera, took time away from the show to work on her music and released her seventh album, Lotus last November.

The fourth season of The Voice premieres March 25.
