Brian Scalabrine is an 11-year NBA veteran who recently retired from the NBA and took an analyst job at Comcast Sports New England.

Over the years, he built up an image as a lovable regular guy, bench warmer, who just happened to be in the NBA. With nicknames like “The White Mamba” “Veal,” and “The Vanilla Godzilla,” Scalabrine was never taken serious as an NBA threat.

It was also the general consensus that if there was one NBA player that you can beat in the entire league, it would be the human victory cigar.

Challenge accepted.

Scalabrine took on four of Boston’s best ballers in 98.5 The Sports Hub’s 1-on-1 “Scallenge,” put on by morning hosts Toucher & Rich.

Listeners sent in their try-out videos, showing off their skills and talking some trash towards Scal, but it served as a reminder as to why you and your homie from down the street never had a chance in the NBA.

Scalabrine knocked down fadeaway jumpers, used his size advantage, and even threw down a few jams while destroying the four handpicked players by a combined score of 44-6. Don’t believe it? Just watch down after the jump.
