With his Ivy League: Kick Back mixtape set to release some time today, Cyhi The Prynce releases another cut from the project catering to the gentleman’s club titled “Whoa.” The track’s chorus is a vocal sample G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Big Sean’s party starting “Mercy” verse. Monotone chants of “Drop it to the floor. Make that a$$ shake” aptly ring through, while a simple “Whoa” hits like a period at the end of the phrase.

The hook is impressive, but the Atlanta MC keeps the spotlight on him with a binder full of  his trademark witty lines, like “I put 1000 on it I can f**k, that’s an a$$ bet.” If anything, Cyhi The Prynce displays an ability to stand alone on a potential single, rather than the posse cuts we often hear him on.

Honestly, it wouldn’t be surprising if this took off in the strip club circuit. It has all of the components to a turn up anthem, including a lulling melody, well placed synths and the aforementioned chorus. Between “Whoa,” “Favorite Things” and his “A-Town” remix, Cyhi looks to start the year off right with Ivy League: Kick Back.

Now, the anticipation is indeed there. Hear his latest track and see his creative tracklist on the following page.
