Tagg Romney, son of former presidential hopeful, Mitt Romney, is potentially gearing up to run for a Senate seat, the Boston Herald reports. Tagg made the decision after Scott Brown passed on the chance to grab the Massachusetts seat.

He is looking to replace John Kerry, who left the Senate to become Secretary of State. Brown announced last week that he will not run for the position.

Both Tagg and his mother, Ann, have been urged by GOP members to campaign for the spot. Other potential candidates include, Rep. Dan. Winslow (R-Norfolk) and NAVY SEAL, Gabriel Gomez.

A father of six, Tagg is the oldest of the five Romney sons. During the 2012 election, Tagg made headlines for saying that he wanted to hit President Obama. “[You want to] jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the stage and take a swing at him,” he said during a radio interview, following the second of three presidential debates. “But you know you can’t do that because there’s a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because that’s the nature of the process.”

He later apologized to the commander in chief.
