Rappers, you have to keep your weed carriers in check. A Los Angeles man is suing Lil Wayne because he got clocked over the head with a skateboard after trying to take a photo of the YMCMB rapper. The kicker is Tunechi didn’t even do the swinging.

The incident went down last May. TMZ reports:

The man on the receiving end of the attack is Alfredo Marino — who claims he spotted Weezy on the streets of L.A. last year and tried to take a photo.

But according to Marino’s lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court by attorney Craig Chisvin, a man who works for Wayne grabbed a skateboard and clubbed him in the back of the head.

Marino claims he suffered a severe injury to his melon from the incident — and is pointing the finger at Wayne and Wayne’s record label because he believes they were responsible for enabling the attacker.

Marino is suing for unspecified damages. Calls to Wayne’s camp have not been returned.

This isn’t the first time Weezy and his skateboarding jones has led to a violent confrontation. Back in April 2012, Weezy and his skateboarding crew were accused of attacking a photographer who spotted them in Miami. Allegedly, Weezy and company made the snap happy photographer delete pictures from his camera and attacked his bike with a skateboard.

All the press surrounding Lil Wayne and skateboarding isn’t negative, though. In September 2012 he opened a skate park in his native New Orleans.

Lil Wayne’s new album, I Am Not A Human Being 2, is due in stores March 26.
