Do you think everything is peachy in Brooklyn thanks to gentrification? On Tuesday (Feb. 26), a man in BK ordered a sandwich from Subway and proceeded to rob the establishment at box cutter point.

DNA Info New York reports:

The bandit placed his order about 3 p.m. inside a Subway sandwich shop at 1432 Myrtle Ave. but, as his meal was being made, drew a box cutter and demanded cash, according to the NYPD. The employee complied and the suspect fled, cops said.

No one was injured.

The sandwich bandit was wearing a dark hoodie with the word “Park” emblazoned on the back.

There is no word on how much the thief made off with. The noted address places this incident in the middle of Bushwick, Brooklyn neighborghood. That’s certainly not Park Slope or Brooklyn Heights but nevertheless it’s a section thought to be on the come up.

This is certainly  not what Q-Tip had in mind when he rapped, “Got the cutter of a box if a kid thinks he’s ox,” on ATCQ’s “God Lives Through.”

If you have any information (remember, it’s not snitching unless you were like, the getaway driver), NYPD asks that you contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). Jared will surely be appreciative.
