Wale recently sat down with Mina SayWhat of Philly’s Power 99 to discuss his Folarin mixtape, as well as what fans can expect from him in 2013. One thing the MMG rapper revealed was his plan to release two projects before year’s end, one of which will be the Jerry Senfeild-assisted Nothing.

“I’m dropping my third solo album first, and then a couple months after that I’ma [sic] probably drop the Nothing project,” said Wale, who neither denied or confirmed whether the latter would be a mixtape or another full length LP.

He also spoke on what fans can expect from his album sonically. “It’s going to have one sound. It’s very, very soulful, and ‘Bad’ is a pretty good indication of the direction that I’m going for this particular project. It’s a little nostalgic, a little vintage, but the music and the sounds will make you feel on this album.”

Wale kept the lid sealed on the features and production credits that will be on the project, because “a lot of things change.” Considering that the lyricist admittedly “over records” for his projects these days, it’s safe to say that fans can expect a lot of loose tracks to drop as the album’s summer release date draws near.

See Wale speak more on both projects, and the whispers about the gradual change in his musical content in the full interview below.
