Today (April 2), First Lady Michelle Obama will host 80 high school and college students from around the country as part of a workshop focused on the upcoming Jackie Robinson biopic, 42. The event will take place at the White House inside the State Dining Room, featuring Robinson’s widow Rachel Robinson and cast members who will take questions from the students.

Starting at 12 p.m. ET, Office of Public Engagement director Paulette Aniskoff will lead and moderate the discussion, focusing on the themes and the hardships Robinson faced on his way to becoming the first African-American player in Major League Baseball. 42 lead actor Chadwick Boseman (who plays Robinson), actor Harrison Ford and writer-director Brian Helgeland will also be on hand to take part in the workshop and discussions.

Thurgood Marshall Academy in D.C.; Watkins Mill High School in Gaithersburg, Md.; TC Williams High School in Alexandria, Va. make up the Washington area student representation. Students from Los Angeles’ Amino Jackie Robinson Charter High School will also be in attendance. College students who have benefited from the charitable efforts of the Jackie Robinson Foundation’s Scholars program will also take part in the event.
