Monster Energy, XXL magazine, and Idol Roc entertainment, are joining forces for a new tour showcasing the artists featured on the magazine’s 2013 Freshman Class cover. Announced earlier today, the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour Presents XXL Freshmen Live 2013 will feature the likes of Trinidad Jame$, Ab-Soul, Angel Haze, and more.
“Monster Energy has had a long-standing relationship with music, and in particular, a rich history of getting involved with young artists early on and showing their support which is the very essence of the Outbreak Tour,” said Outbreak Tour producer, and Idol Roc executive, Steve Glazer. “‘XXL’ does an incredible job at curating the Freshmen talent and just like last year we’ve once again married these two culturally influential brands to bring forth a one of a kind tour that truly unveils the new class of hip hop stars.”
Starting May 1, the entire “Freshman Class” (Jame$, Ab, Haze, Joey Bada$$, Logic, Action Bronson, Kirko Bangz, Travi$ Scott, Dizzy Wright) will hit select dates on the cross-country trek, making stops in New York City, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia, with more dates to be added soon.
The XXL Freshman issue drops April 23.
