This is a combination that was inevitable. One of the hottest producers in Hip-Hop, Harry Fraud, and one of the most highly touted MCs on the come up, Joey Bada$$, link to create a track called “Day In The Life.”

The somber instrumentation (keys and a sax) lets Joey spit some introspective lyrics while the chunky drums help make sure you pay attention. “You know I got those vato, you know the motto for models/Trust you gon’ swallow but don’t mind not those bottles/Men lie, women lie, but not no lotto,” spits the Brooklyn MC and Pro Era crew frontman.

You can spot Joey on the cover of the 2013 Freshman class issue of XXL magazine. When not handling the usual rapper duties, he is also the Creative Director of the Ecko Unlimited clothing brand.

“Day In The Life” will serve as the intro track to Peter Rosenberg’s New York Renaissance mixtape, due out sometime today.
