Waka Flocka Flame didn’t sign on for PETA’s anti-fur campaign as a publicity stunt, he’s actually committed to the cause. Unlike most of his rap homies, the New York native isn’t into rocking animal carcass, because he thinks it’s “nasty as hell.”

During an interview with AOL’s TheBoomBox.com, Gucci Mane’s former comrade explained the source of his fur enlightenment. “I got with PETA for a fur campaign, specifically for fur,” he said. “I feel like if I was gonna go further, I have to graduate as a person and as a man.”

Aside from his spiritual metamorphosis, vanity also plays a part in why he hates fur. “It’s ugly to me. It’s nasty as hell. Every time I think about furs I just think about pimps and big-A$$ rings and somebody trying to be too extra. You wear fur, it’s like you trying to be something you not. You get fur, you can spend the same money on like, 30 jackets. And it’s gonna do you better, that sh-t gonna keep you warm.”

When he’s not passionately speaking out against fur, the 26-year-old is living a calm and healthy life, due in part to his medical practices. “Smoke kush, man. Kush cleanses anything. Any sickness you ever have: Kush is the father.”

Waka must’ve had a session with his kush doctor before sitting down for the interview because he trails off into the most random list of topics ever (including why he believes in mermaids).

This guys always entertains.
