We bet LL Cool J and Brad Paisley never thought “Accidental Racist” would get proverbially stoned by Hip-Hop fans, but as we’ve seen before, not all earnest efforts go over well. Just ask Rick Ross. Besides, that song was actually god awful.

Nevertheless, the duo attempts to champion forward with their second collaboration “Live For You,” which is set to appear on the Queens rapper’s forthcoming album Authentic.

Cool James and Paisley should see a lot less slander this go around, as the legendary MC opts to stick to his strong suit of catering to the ladies on the track. The country singer’s role has also diminished to a supporting role here, as he assists with  a well crooned chorus over the poppy beat.

All in all, the songs works much better than their previous effort, but it still sounds pretty forced. We’re all for experimenting with your sound and trying new things, but this is one instance where two artists should have just stayed in their lanes.
