Many would say Stacy Barthe is one of a few budding songstresses that will restore the feeling to rhythm and blues. The singer-songwriter’s P.S. I Love You EP makes a great case for those claims, donning introspective songs like “Hell Yeah!,” which finally receives a proper visual treatment.

Joined by Rick Ross, the Brooklyn native shares her hopes for a better tomorrow in scenes that alternate between black-and-white and full color shots. The camera pans to several locales signifying struggle and disparity, including damage caused by the ravenous Hurricane Sandy, that serve as a reaffirmation of Barthe’s claims that society has ample work to do.

“Don’t it seem like every time you try and progress something’s always holding you back,” sings John Legend‘s crowned jewel, while Rozay takes us to church in his closing verse, literally.

Be sure to look out for Barthe’s forthcoming debut album releasing on Legend’s Homeschool Records/Motown. See the vid for “Hell Yeah!” below.
