Mister Cee is trying to turn a negative (repeatedly getting busted for soliciting prostitutes, allegedly) into a positive, by recording a PSA for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. In the video the Hot 97 DJ faces his latest scandal head on, admitting to being addicted to intercourse…but not with dudes.
“All of you know I’ve been through a lot this week with my situation, with my addiction,” he says. “I can honestly say I have an addiction, and that’s something I’m going to have to move forward with in my life.”
Using his personal story as a launching pad, the native New Yorker encourages others who have “situations” of the s-xual persuasion, to keep it honest. “Fellas messin’ with two and three women at a time, or even some of you women–women are just as much as cheaters out there. I mean, let’s just be honest man, everybody’s not living a righteous lifestyle out there. Even myself.”
Further in the PSA he urges those who may be apprehensive about taking an HIV test, to look into the confidential services offered by AHF. “Your business is your business, as it should be, it’s private and confidential. There are professionals to help you with your situation.”
With locations across the globe, AHF is mobilized in the fight against the deadly virus, Cee points out that there’s even an office in Brooklyn –the very borough where he was arrested for trying to pay for a little time with what turned out to be an undercover cop.
