Last year, Roc Marciano dropped a superb album called Reloaded. Plenty of critical acclaim followed, but instead of gloating, the Long Island rapper just keeps creating more heat. Which means today we get a new joint called “Ruff Town,” featuring Cormega.

This record sounds just as the names on the bill should make you expect. A rich Soul sample that features resounding horns and rumbling organs gets outfitted with drums and bars by Marciano himself. “I’m focused, marvel at the opus, dangerous when I’m at my brokest,” is how Roc Marci kicks off his rhyme, and it only gets better from there.

In early April, it was announced that the “Snow” rapper was named VP & Director of A&R for Man Bites Dogs Records.

No word on which of Marciano’s many forthcoming projects this record will find a home, but we’ll assume Marci Beaucoup. Until we get those details, listen to “Ruff Town” below.
