Be careful what you wish for. 2 Chainz brushed off reports that he was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco Monday (June 10) because “if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that [have] been taken.”

TMZ took that as a challenge.

Like clockwork, the celebrity website got hold of a (grainy) video of the robbery.

In the footage (shot from two different angles) a group—believed to be 2 Chainz & Co.—is seen walking down the street when a man with a gun runs up. The men dismantle instantaneously, with the “I’m Different” rapper sprinting for his life like a gazelle in the African jungle. From what we gather, the scary situation was life-threatening because the gunman keeps his weapon on one target. At one point T*ty 2 Necklace loses his footing and ends up on the ground, giving the suspect an advantage. The 35-year-old was allegedly jacked for his cell phone and wallet.

After some initial confusion, local police eventually confirmed the robbery. The clip is fuzzy, but if the incredibly tall man running away from the gunman is 2 Chainz, than he was definitely an intended target.

Check out  the clip below.
