It’s not every day that we receive new material from Pete Rock or Camp Lo, so for them to appear on wax together again is special. Both parties appear alongside Uncle Murda on a new track called “Clean Getaway.”
Chocolate Boy Wonder and the Uptown Saturday Night duo show that their pen game is still sharp over the former’s boom bap drums. The addition of the street savvy Murda adds a gritty touch to the otherwise smooth tune.
“Clean Getaway” is the second release from the legendary producer-rapper and the underground favorites in recent weeks. The first was a Mac Miller-assisted song titled “Megan Good.”
Both will appear on a collaborative release from Pete Rock and Camp Lo called 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s Pt. II, due out July 30.
