Thursday evening (August 8) marks the start of one hectic weekend in Atlanta. The annual MixShow Live DJ conference taking place at Atlanta’s W Midtown hotel is in its second year partnering with one of the city’s most influential DJ crews, The Core DJs. Within 24 months, MixShow Live has grown exponentially, most recently putting on a retreat in Las Vegas to which 50 Cent made a surprise appearance.

Last year, DJ Khaled passed through and not only did Grand Hustle general T.I. appear, but he performed a full set at the conference. For five days (August 8 – 12), the focus of MixShow Live will be on artists, DJs and executives within the Hip-Hop industry, making it one of Atlanta’s most anticipated events of the summer. From parties with the cast of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta to listening suites sponsored by Interscope and G-Unit Records, MixShow Live is as much for fans of the genre as it is for DJs.

Power Panels featuring tips and tools from the nation’s top radio programmers will cover some of the business aspect of the conference and showcases featuring sets from Ca$h Out, Schoolboy Q, Kidd Kidd and others will continue MixShow Live’s tradition of giving attendees a chance to catch artists in action.

Sunday (August 11) will feature two separate events sure to appeal to longtime rap fans. The stars of the Queens of Hip-Hop show include Roxanne Shante, Yo Yo, Monie Love, JJ Fad and others. Later in the evening, the R&B Legends event will showcase sets from Blackstreet, Con Funk Shun, Cameo and more.

This year’s MixShow Live is guaranteed to set standards while exceeding the expectations of those in attendance.
