We don’t know if anyone can be mad at a new AZ release. As fans patiently await Doe or Die II, the veteran MC drops jewels in an audible blessing called “I Excel.”

Deemed “melodic, motivational music” by the Aziatic one himself, we can’t think of a better description for the Cooking Soul-produced song. The Brooklyn lyricist flexes his dexterous, mafioso flow over smooth flutes and thumping boom-bap drums.

“Macadocious, morning time mimosas/Porcupine on the loafers/I spit this rhyme for the culture,” raps AZ.

With Doe or Die II looking like it’s far from complete, fans will be excited to know that the underrated wordsmith will be releasing his Last Of A Dying Breed 2 mixtape in September. Until then, lend an ear to “I Excel” below.
