While most of us here in the U.S. were taking our lunch break, the gaming industry was experiencing an exciting moment on the other side of the pond.
Gamescom 2013, for those who are uninitiated, is an annual convention where the best and brightest in the gaming industry get together to push the genre forward. In the ever evolving “console wars,” the Xbox One has yet to reveal its full roll-out, but that hasn’t stopped Sony at all from going for the victory. Streamed live through Twitch TV, hardcore and casual gamer alike was treated to a visual treat that will change the way you think about gaming.
The PlayStation 4 Conference presented people with the opportunity to see the PlayStation Network in action; to play free demo titles before buying; to finally learn what Music Unlimited does, and watch the next-gen graphics unfold beautifully before one’s eyes. New details regarding the final batch of games for the PlayStation 3 were announced, and drastic changes came to PS Vita. All in all, what we all came to see (the games!!!) was presented in its HD glory, and we just cannot believe what we saw!
