In May singer Jhené Aiko debuted a tune titled “Comfort Inn Ending” via her Tumblr page that was emotionally riveting, but extremely short. It appears that the first version was only a snippet, and today, she delivers the continuing piece for your listening pleasure.

“Thought I told you not to trust these hoes/Say the love you, but you know they don’t,” sings Aiko in the opening line. Spine tingling guitar strings compliment the Los Angeles native’s sultry vocals and helps create an eerie mood. Credit this to veteran producer No I.D., who’s working hands on with the Def Jam signee through his Artium Records imprint.

This version clocks in at just over five minutes, but it fades out while Aiko is singing similar to the track initially heard. We guess the plot is still thickening.

Fans should look out for Jhené Aiko’s proper debut, Souled Out, to release some time this year. Lend an ear to “Comfort Inn Ending (Cont’d) below.
