Over Labor Day weekend, Lil Wayne will be holding a concert in Arizona with the proceeds going to The Carter Fund charity. The YMCMB rapper and Trukfit founder will be performing at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix on Monday September 2.

The Carter Fund is a charitable fund of the Arizona Community Foundation. Weezy is currently headlining the America’s Most Wanted Festival 2013 with 2 Chainz and T.I. Recently, the “How To Love” rapper took to Twitter to acknowledge that he’s been slacking musically since he wasn’t nominated for any MTV VMAs this year.

“Noticed I wasn’t nominated nor involved n da MTV VMA’s nor da BET awards…I apologize to my fans and I promise 2 work harder if it kills me,” he tweeted on Saturday (August 24) night.

Let’s hope Tunechi doesn’t take his advice to literally when it comes to the “kill me” part. Wayne plans to drop his latest mixtape, Dedication 5, on August 30.

General admission tickets cost $50 and the proceeds will benefit The Carter Fund, which awards helps Arizona charities that offer after-school programs to youth by awarding the grants. The concert is being organized by Live Nation and tickets are on sale now, which you can purchase at celebritytheatre.com.
