Does the phrase, “It’s Friday, you ain’t got no job, and you ain’t got sh*t to do?,” ring a bell? If not, it will after you watch Audio Push‘s visual for “Shine.”
The California duo put a spin on the story line from the cult classic film Friday in this entertaining treatment. The track samples Janet Jackson’s equally nostalgic hit, “I Get So Lonely,” and features Pricetag and Oktane cruising through street playing the roles “Craig” and “Smokey,” respectively.
The pair’s HS87 boss and producer, Hit-Boy, makes a cameo appearance. It’s unclear who he was supposed to be, though. Other than that, Audio Push covered all bases with the inclusion of characters like “Big Worm,” “Mrs. Parker,” and more.
“Shine” and the two’s Lil Wayne-assisted cut “Space Jam” will appear on their Come As You Are project. Expect that September 9. Catch the video below.
