New York City has seen its fair share of Maybach Music Group over the last few days as the crew continue their press run for Self Made, Vol. 3. Today, the entire clique sans Wale appeared on The Breakfast Club and Hot 97.

Rick Ross and company discussed everything from their upcoming compilation album to Meek Mill‘s views on the industry and who people co-sign.

“I came in this game a hustler,” said the Philly rapper after reiterating how much he’s accomplished in his short career. “They wait til you do a certain number for everybody to get behind you.”

Meek says he’s never needed factors like record sales and allegiances to recognize other talented MCs or his own worth. “The game is so crazy now. It’s like you have to pass a test to get the right co-sign. Nah, I’m gonna show with my money, and I’mma show by longevity, and lasting in this game, and sticking around.”

We can’t help but think that these comments correspond to the hoopla surrounding Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse, and the words he directed at Meek at a NYC concert last night.
