2 Chainz just delivered his new album B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, but he still has much work to do after underwhelming first week sales. With that in mind, the Atlanta rapper appeared on The Breakfast Club to discuss the project, who’s to blame for the lack of units sold, the tour bus incident, and more.

“It feels like Def Jam didn’t promote this project like they did the last one,” said host Charlamagne. To which Chainz replied, “I’m doing my job. As far as Def Jam, I do a lot of footwork so it’s hard for me to see what’s going on as far as the aerial process.”

Despite the dismal numbers, the Hair Weave Killer feels good about the work he put into the LP and isn’t in the business of pointing fingers. “Of course I care,” Chainz said very calm, cool, and collected. “If it does 50 thousand, I’ll probably be mad as hell and do something like buy another car.”

He continued, “The track record don’t lie as far as what I’m able to do, where I come from, and how I turned things around. So for me, I probably need something to kinda make me turn back up again.”
